Five years of Honor Bound will be celebrated in the Dwarven District of Stormwind tonight at 10pm server (10pm PDT)
For members only, be sure to read and sign up and reply to our forum post to be entered into the lottery for this cool mount!

Good Luck everyone!
As most are aware by now the end of April will mark Honor Bounds 5 year anniversary. Storm put up a great post below about how and why we work so well. It is definitely the members, everyone that is a part of the team has contributed greatly to the experience and fun of the game.
So in the spirit of celebration and fun, we will be holding a contest for some great prizes! First off we will be having a Screenshot contest. I have created an album named "5th Year Anniv." in the galleries tab to upload your SS to. the Theme will have 4 catagories:

Something unique to each of these themes, be it an item, a boss, a cool scene, or just something funny that you run across. Grab a SS of it and share it, it may be a winner!
There will be a winner from each catagory and of those 4 winners a poll will be held to determine the overall winner. The deadline for submitting is April 28th at 11:59 PM so get your best shot in before then!
Im looking forward to seeing some cool, creative and fun screenshots!
Good luck everyone!
Good question. I mean, we aren't a great raiding guild, we won't be found on leader boards of anything, yet after five years we're still here. That must mean we're doing something right.
The drama-free environment is nice. In fact I've only removed one person in the last year and a half. In a game full of griefers and drama queens, Honor Bound guild chat is a welcome respite.
As the game gets more and more solo-questing oriented, that friendly guild chat get's very important for replacing the comeraderie that used to form during group quests. Debates over who was the real father of rock and roll, or what constitutes a good amber ale helps removes the drudgery from "SomeNPC wants you to kill 15 ____, and 10 ______" quests.

Member retention is also a plus. There are still people playing who joined in the first year, and many active people that have been a part of the guild for several years. In that time we have had three guildmasters, all of whom are still playing with us. This gives the guild the stability that so many others could only wish for. Yet at the same time we have always been welcoming to new members, regardless of their spec, skill, or experience. When the guild was founded, it was founded by noobs, and as such has always been friendly to them. We don't forget our roots.

No, we'll never be a top raiding guild, or climb high up the PvP ladder, but I wouldn't trade any of the friends made in the five years of playing in this guild for the fleeting glory and inevitable drama that comes with competitive play. I salute the ones who can, but I like things in our guild just the way they are. We're here to have fun, and we do that better than most. If there was a leader board for that, we'd be right at the top.
Thanks to all the members who have been part of Honor Bound over the years. Here's to the next five!
